You can ask us to delete your Grandeurs Pantry account and the personal information attached to it. This page is how you do that, from the website or the app.
1. What happens when you ask
- Enter your email address below and we send a confirmation link to that address.
- Click the link in that email. We cannot act on a request until you do — this is how we make sure nobody can have someone else’s account deleted.
- We action the request and confirm by email when it is done.
If you would rather not use the form, email grandeurspantry@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will treat it the same way.
2. What gets deleted
- Your account and your password
- Your name, email address and telephone number
- Your saved delivery and billing addresses
- Your personal details on past orders
3. What we have to keep, and why
We cannot delete everything. South African tax law requires us to keep records of what we sold and for how much, so the financial record of each order stays, with your personal details removed from it. What remains is an order number, the items, the amounts and the date — nothing that identifies you.
| What | Why | How long |
| Order and invoice records, with your personal details removed | Required by the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011 | Five years |
This is the same position set out in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
4. Before you ask
Deletion cannot be undone. Once your account is gone you will lose your order history and your saved addresses, and reordering past purchases will no longer be possible. You are welcome to create a new account afterwards, but it will start empty.
If you have an order with us that has not been delivered or collected yet, please wait until it is complete, or contact us on 010 502 2547 first.
5. Request deletion
6. Your other rights
Deleting your account is one of several rights you have under POPIA. You can also ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to correct it. Section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains how, and how to complain to the Information Regulator if you are not satisfied with our response.
